    Lone Cowboy layout (Updated again)

    Here ist the study/final sketch before I get to work on the details. I thought I would share

    wow, great colorful study and sketch. Off to a great start.
    I know it is a cowboy, but at this stage it looks a bit like
    Don Quixote. ha ha.

    gzairborne - Yeah, I agree with the Don Quixote look. I'll just add a windmill and... No wait that will not work. I was trying to have him holding a rifle off his hip. I revised and will revisit this when I get to the cowboy.

    UDATED
    Cactus color
    added some line work the painting. (I know who whould have thunk it line work from me)
    removed the Don Quixote effect
    various small changes

    NEXT
    More surfacing cactus work
    then adding the needles
    more forground grass
    Add hill detail

    good stuff .......are you working in layers?.......personally i would work on the background stuff first then move to the foregorund

    Enchater - glad you like it. I have about 5 layers. For some reason I have been avoiding the background. I mostly work from back to front but I focused on the cactus for some reason.

    Sorry the stupid comment made you take out the rifle. This looks great.
    The rifle was also very cool touch. Can't wait to see the finished one.
