    Volito not pressure sensitive?

Hello! My Wacom Volito2 appears to have a problem.

In the control applet for the tablet, i see the pressure reading. But in Art Rage 2.5 Free Edition (I can not download the Wacom edition, "Licesning Key violation", i have mailed support about that issue) it appears to do nothing.

In GIMP the pressure sesitivity works.

    Any hints?

(Vista Ultimate 64, Wacom Volito 2)

On Vista, Artrage uses Microsoft's Ink Services for tablet input. The GIMP is probably using wintab for its tablet input. If you go to your control panel, to the "Pen and input devices" ( Control panel, classic view ) make sure that either:

1/ Press and hold - right click is enabled ( you can click the settings button to make sure it's on )
2/ Under the "Flicks" tab, "Use flicks to perform actions quickly and easily" is enabled. Turn the sensitivity up to precise to avoid accidentally activating this feature.

I prefer 2 as it's less obtrusive in my experience so far.

Basically, Microsoft's Ink Services require one or the other option to be enabled, or pressure is not provided in Ink Service compatible applications.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info. Those ink services settings look pretty standard to me, so it probably doesn't relate to that. Do you have the latest version of the tablet drivers installed? You can grab them from www.wacom.com.

I see you are using the 2.5 Starter version at the moment - can you check for me in the Help menu 'About Artrage 2' the exact version? It should be there in small print e.g. 2.5.19

I replied to a license key related email earlier today, so if that was yours we'll check that out for you when you email back so we can see what we can do about getting you the latest full Wacom version as well.

Yeah, i have 5.05-7 which is the current version.

I will reply to your mail when it clears my greylisting/spamfiltering, but yes, that was most likely my mail.
