Hi Guys,

Some wonderful stuff here since I last looked.

A 20 minute break from Decorating and fitting new lamps.

(I thought this thread was getting too happy. :)

Done with Selby's quote in mind. Black paint on Red Canvas. Used the Eraser to draw it.

Edit (This posting was meant to be in the 30 minute area, I've asked to have it moved there.)

wow  :) what a powerful image Phil. I cant decide if i think im in purgatory or the grip of the industrial revolution...err then again they may be one and the same

also makes me think a bit of mordor...can hear the ringing of anvils.

I really like this. Seems like few strokes but as others had said, it gives so powerful message. :)

Thank you all for your kind words. It was deja vu all over again. :)

Gzairborn missed out Cathartic.

When I used real paint, a picture was "done" or "complete" if boredom was its maximum and the paint tubes were at their minimum.

Now, I really do take Selby's quote to heart.

The black paint was done "Bob Ross style", very thin. The Eraser cuts through it like a blade or introduces a smudge, depending on the settings. The buildings were partially done with the Roller. I didn't use anything else, just got on and painted.

(I notice that in my absence Selby has changed her hair style.
It must be the Melbourne effect. :)

yes it was a bit-new location, new look, new start :D

Glad the Aldrich quote is inspiring you to have a different sort of play....i love a quote that makes you think about things differently.

I love the dark armosphere of this one. It makes me think of 1984 for some reason.

Hi Sickfish,

I think you nailed it. That was exactly the thought behind it at the time,
