Im in the middle of writting an ebook on drawing and needed a drawing to show one point perspective and I spent so much time trying to get the rails right, that I couldn't put anything over it.

Its mostly in black pencil because Im more concerned with showing perspective.

Information is good.

Could you do this in a CAD program? It looks pretty technical and elaborate. Something a designer might need.

If you can swing it, perhaps you could inspire artists by showing perspective in the context of an artistic drawing. I think artists would relate and be more pulled in by a really cool drawing. Right now, it's starting to look a little like clip art in parts.

Maybe start with a good solid, inspiring drawing in black or gray and then overlay the construction lines in red or blue? And make it toggle on and off. Sort of like now you see it, now you don't.

E-books ought to allow for that kind of thing.

I love your intention to teach something solid and practical. Ought to make up for the sins of your mis-spent youth in the dormitory.

That's mightily nicely done perspective.
Technical-drawing was my favourite subject at high-school.

Thanks for the post D Akey, and Andy Thanks for your opinion!

This is more of a study in prospective and I intended it to look technical.

There is a genre of art that does rely, more or less, on technical issues such as prespective.

There are guys in this forum that make me feel like a novice when I look at there work!

Of coarse, this work would be more exceptable after it's been "finished"!

Hence, the name of this thread...

Awesome job on the perspective. Can't wait to see this materialize.
