These are good example of color Vibration, using opposites, colors that cancel each others saturation, value when used together.

thanks
that's what i'm doing, working the idea of colour and going through exercises in colour theory from Betty Edwards book "color" a course in mastering the art of mixing colour.
i will be posting exercises later on ( as i finish them )
i'm in the middle of learning Zbrush ( texture modeling software ) so may programs so little time ( i work 40 hrs a week and family life as well )

Fall looks more like an artwork than an exercize with an interesting use of space and a very fall-like choice of colors.. I like the colors you chose for spring also. :)

playing with the idea of my take on the colour wheel
12 colour
there's a 36 one out there, but this is a start
next exercises is about mixing paint ( mixing rgb percentages for me :) )
identifing colours Betty goes on about starting with the basic 12 and then thinking about values and intensity, but since this rgb's 255 system all colours fit in that idea of just finding the numbers ( for the program and for you it's playing around by eye to get what you want )
values ( white to black ) intensity is real just saturation in digital world
i think next is about colour harmony :)

i went back to the values idea of colour
first i did a small grey scale
when i did the primary colours Red, Blue, and Yellow,
Betty talked about using the colour and building them to one end of the scale and back to the other ...
red to white, then red to black ...i worked mostly with the numeric colour picker and the percentages to get the colour i wanted
so the bigger the number (equally ) the darker the colour
i had a hard time with red ...when i pick the colour the saturation was at 85% and i put it to 100% on the next step and then start lowering the numbers to white
i now this might sound like a wierd exercise ...but think about how many times you wanted a colour and searched high and low on the palatte, this makes you realize the colour ( digital code )
Steve
the next step is intensity or saturation ( if i don't go through the other 9 colours )

Is it the real oil painting, or it is an artRage's work?
