More Stencils than you could ever need!!

Go to Google Image Search and set the advanced parameters to Black and White, and also to .PNG only. Set the selction to Large Images only.

Then put in the search term "Gutenberg".

Hello Phil... I dont want to put a damper on this, but are you SURE this stuff isnt copyright????,if it is ...you have to get permission to use it...especially if people are going to post it up as their own work....you could get into bother with it, if it IS copyright... just thought I better let you know.....Jack.

Hi Jack

That's why I chose the Gutenberg site. Their reason for being is to make available copyright free stuff.

"This eBook is for the use of anyone anywhere at no cost and with
almost no restrictions whatsoever. You may copy it, give it away or
re-use it under the terms of the Project Gutenberg License included
with this eBook or online at www.gutenberg.net

Thanks Phil!

Address wise, could you be meaning www.gutenberg.org (Edit: Wait, now mine's not linking either. Error 412 Precondition failed -- strange. Looks like you have to remove anything after '.org' by hand and it'll make it to the Gutenberg home page.)

I think I'll go a' roving. Thanks for the idea. Haven't been there yet, but I'll do some browsing. Or perhaps you have a suggestion for once on the site where they keep the good B&W stuff hidden.

Ever coming back out into the fresh air of the normal forums? Or are you planning to stay locked up in your wizard's keep turning base B&W color into gold?

It appears to be some kind of "hotlinking" type protection. I'm sure it's just checking the referrer.

If you go to the Gutenberg Web site, then type in catalog, boom, you're in.

Or just click the link to the catalog.

Don't know about this its a bit confusing as regards to copyright
I think it is only copyright free to use if you comply with the following.

Please correct me if I am wrong
1.E.7.

Do not charge a fee for access to, viewing, displaying,
performing, copying or distributing any Project Gutenberg-tm works
unless you comply with paragraph 1.E.8 or 1.E.9.

1.E.8. You may charge a reasonable fee for copies of or providing
access to or distributing Project Gutenberg-tm electronic works provided
that

- You pay a royalty fee of 20% of the gross profits you derive from
the use of Project Gutenberg-tm works calculated using the method
you already use to calculate your applicable taxes. The fee is
owed to the owner of the Project Gutenberg-tm trademark, but he
has agreed to donate royalties under this paragraph to the
Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation. Royalty payments
must be paid within 60 days following each date on which you
prepare (or are legally required to prepare) your periodic tax
returns. Royalty payments should be clearly marked as such and
sent to the Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation at the
address specified in Section 4, "Information about donations to
the Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation."
