Hi everyone!
I haven't been here in a long while. Been working on getting my digital painting up to speed. Still on that road.
This is one I did from an image that came to mind while I was sitting at my desk at work. Couldn't wait to get home and sit down to my tablet. A coworker surprised me the other day when I walked up and saw she had it as her wallpapaer! She grabbed it from my website. I was floored!
I'd appreciate any professional critique anyone has to offer. :)
Sorry I can't show it larger. It's actually 24x36.

Wow! I didn't see that before! Now I know how to go about it when I want to do hair! :D Thanks!

I like your painting very much... I thought it looked like a detail of the bark of a beautiful tree.

I'd love to know which tools, techniques etc your used to get this effect.
Did you use any layers?

Good work, I can see why your co-worker liked it for her desktop btw :)

Rowena.

Thank you much! My reference photo was actually a piece of driftwood. I only used the brush tool in ArtRage and used colors that I found in the photo but enhanced them and added more texture.

I had a friend named Rowena in H.S. Not a name I come across often. 8)
