MoHei.

I get idea how made grain by usin oil-tool and i put that idea on this thread, perhaps it is usefull someone.

1. First image, how i done it.
2. Then Grain-paper .jpg.
3. One example pixpainting.

That's really good Heikki. Did you tap the oil brush over and over without sliding it? Making a stipple effect? Nice work.

Yes i made it like you wrote..tap without sliding... clicking mouse it quite fast to do... i think that it is usefull method...can make how i say soft and smooth oil-layer.

Out off topic: how do you dock /undock the layers try?

I tried your method in making grains, as long as I did understand it.

The grain is not very uniform but is OK for me.:D

cant you make a grain texture with the glitter brush with "Metallic" property at 0?? i mean .. just wondering. i am a newbie. How did you do it with oil paint and so even? have you shared it somewhere?
