I love the lighthouse in the back!

How did you get the texture on the trees and bushes? Was that with the glitter brush?

:) Hi strongmace, thanks for your kind words, no glitter was used, simply oil dabs and the spray tool throughout. The background blue was imported before painting. The work was done at maximum magnification, naturelly a lot of the detail gets lost when returning to normal size. Regards,Tony

Excellent work, Tony! I like these trees surrounding small houses, they give the warm and safe feeling.

I could live in such a place. I think of good food and cheer with friends and family beside a roaring fire in the evenings. Telling stories and singing silly songs at the top of our lungs. Nice work Tony. Thanks for the daydream. :D

:) Hi everyone thank you all for your very kind words about this painting.Where is this place, well it is a mixture of my home, Walton with some extras thrown in that would enhance my pleasure of the village. For example by having the sea that little bit closer instead of a national park.
Some people are never satisfied!
Anyway, thanks again it is very much appreciated as is the art work you all produce.
Kind Regards,Tony :)

Tony, this is stunning. Really captures the feel of a small quiet town. Makes me wish I could retire to a place like this. There's such a sense of serenity about it.
