The straight line thing works great but what does the one next to it do? It looks like it should be some kind of bezier curve tool but I can't get it do anything. Is it broken?

Hi, as you see it highlights when you are in “normal” unconstrained painting mode and can be used to get out of the Line constraint mode.
Yes, the Strait Line constraint button is actually a toggle between On/Off, so that second button is perhaps a little redundant maybe…:confused:

Oh. Okay. Redundant. Misleadingly so.
A curvy line tool would be quite useful. :(
