We are in the middle of a hot spell of 40C the last couple of days 41C today and 42C tomorrow and then a change. It has given me plenty of time to paint as the outside chores (inside as well) will have to wait until it's cooler.:cool:

Whuff! 40 degrees June?! That’s too hot. Hope the change comes as expected.
Interestingly I’ve been working on a goldfinch too, but the ones we have in our garden are the European ones.

We have the same goldfinch here - a very pretty bird. The one I painted is the US goldfinch. You have made a good start on yours. If you are painting in oil you might find a set of brushes under brush designer useful - the bristle brushes under Artistic. Good for feathers.
