Wonderful images sabena and such detail. Also the canvas you have chosen is perfect. I have not visited Portugal and unfortunately it looks like our travelling days are over. Still waiting on a refund for a cancelled European trip.

Many years ago we visited the north Portugal coast but I don’t have such fond memories! For a few days a thick mist blew off the sea and we were lodging within earshot of the fog horn! We still had a good time though, very interesting and historic country. The food was lovely, especially the cakes!

I wonder, are you perhaps secretly working for Portugal’s tourist board!
The "casas Madeira" have a look about them reminiscent of some Asian architecture. I wonder what historically influenced their design? That roof shape would be very good at shedding snow or heavy rains.

I really like your colour pallet. This made me smile and a nice reminder seeing the nine metre tall sculpture Pop Galo by Joana Vasconcelos when it was on display at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Ola Jono, it's true this city is full of Roosters and they are related to a legend in which a man was not hanged due to a Rooster in Barcelos. Thank you
