I timed myself and it took 2hrs for the painting and a further 10mins to settle on a background.It was a quick one despite running into a problem and almost losing the file. ArtRage threw a 'tanty'.

Wow, no wonder you can turn out so many paintings I would likely spend 2 days working on that.
And the painting looks good.

Excellent depth of field! Really good how you're owning all of the canvas, and being mindful of foreground, middle ground and background, despite that it's a close up portrait. What you did makes the great fur work and other detail so perfect. Great color and values too. I think this one opens up a whole new high plateau for yourself. Super. I knew you were barreling toward this level and there you are. Wooohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!

I could say the same thing to you = don't stop. Continuity is crucial to hitting those highs. I love being able to see your work taking off like this!
