Tasty!

Noteworthy. That beef is not so easy to make look natural. You did a really nice job on it with the raw marbling. Tomato too.

Going strong!

Thank you it is such a joy. I wish the Artrage files would have been cross platform. It would have been much easier to tackle the learning curve.

I like how you're running with geometric primitive shapes. Lends a very cool Pop Art quality (for lack of a better term). And still you're maintaining a deliciousness to the food. Neat.

Thanks for the encouragement.
I think in still-life, elementry forms are central where experimenting and tackling with texture can also be quit a bit of fun. It probably is the most controlled envoirment to understand and to play with light and shadows and thier iteraction with tones.
I hope it is not a wrong strategy for a beginner like myself.

I love red and black as color combination, to give it variation added some dark gray-green.100488

Nice. Really sets off the apple as a strong focal point, like the bulls-eye.

Yeah, in regards to primitive shapes, those who use it visibly are emphasizing the design, and are making a strong visual statement, where the design is equally as important as the subject. It's an elegant approach in the clarity of it, and it's also fun to see how much extraneous stuff can be removed. It also really draws the attention to the specifics of what is in the picture -- like shape and texture, lighting along with a known flavor that the viewer can bring to the experience from their personal familiarity with the subjects.

Love the interpretation of the shrimp. The colors are perfect. The strokes make it really interesting.

And the pumpkin is smashing.

Love your theme in this thread and what you're doing with it.
