How to sample colour from a reference image?

Hello all.
Please forgive my numerous questions, I am a bit obsessed with learning to use ArtRage :)
I am experimenting with watercolour while creating a digital version of my seed forum avatar.
I thought this should be my first project as it is I suppose my forum face for want of a better term.
I have added the reference image to my workspace but just can’t work out how to pick colours from the image for painting.

I found it now, I was trying to do it through colour picker, bottom right of screen.
I then realised it was in the tool panel on the left, I’m so silly some times.
