Hello Danna,
1: The lines that form the Perspective Grids are only intended as a visual reference and, should you wish, for tools to snap to and follow until you lift your stylus/mouse. As such they have no intended ability to act as “stops” when one line crosses another.
If you have not already found if there’s more interesting info about the Perspective Grids here: https://www.artrage.com/manuals/graphic-design/perspective/

2: You should be able to start at any point on a line within the grid.
If you start a line outside the grid it will be unconstrained until it hits the outer grid line, which it will then follow.

3: Not sure what may have happened to you there regarding the line widths in your example?
Given the settings you had all my lines remain consistent.
It may have been a one off glitch. If you restart AR dose it still happen?

Thanks Mark ... that's very helpful.

Still getting the different line widths, vertical lines are thinner than horizontal lines.

Ah, I think I know what’s going on now:rolleyes: (hum, no emoji for a light bulb!)
Check your Ink Pen settings: put Aspect to 100% & Rotation 0%
Some tools like the Ink Pen can have different shaped heads ie not just square or round but differing degrees of oblong or oval.

Thanks a bunch Mark, that fixed it.
