This may be a Mac Retina related thing but on my Mac in AR 6.0.10 any of the above three items do not hide themselves if a brush etc… approaches and crosses their positions from the Right or from the Bottom.
When approaching from either of the other two sides they do sometimes hide but it is by no means consistent as to if they will or won’t hide.
