How can I center easily a layer to the canvas in ArtRage 5?

Open the layout panel, then choose the 'guide sets' tab ( the middle one )
Click 'add guides at point' then enter an X and Y position which is half the height and width of your canvas to create two guides meeting at the centre.
Make sure that 'snap to guides' is enabled, then transform your layer contents and drag it to the centre where it will snap to the centre point.
