How do you turn off the Transform tool?

I haven't messed with the program for years and somethings I can't remember how to do. On the menu bar I clicked on the Transform tool and now I don't seem to be able to turn it off again. Turning it on seems to have also messed up my panels setup.95903

To turn off the transform tool, click any other tool in your tool picker.

Can you let me know what changed about your panel layout? The transform tool doesn't have as many settings as other tools, nor presets by default, so both of those areas in your docked panels would become fairly short / empty, but I'm not sure if that's what you're seeing there.
