Hi,

Stencils are very useful and practical to use. What conditions are needed to create a stencil with a very good quality? For example when we make fonts it's interesting know.

Thank you. :)

Claudine, I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you are asking but here is a Youtube video by one of our members for making a font stencil. It's an older version of AR but I'm sure you can follow it.

Hope it helps.

For a good quality stencil you need good contrast i.e. preferably black and white.

Thank you Rondo, thank you Enug! :)

So if I use pure white and black, my stencil will be neat (good quality) with a large size. Such a font is like a vector font, isn't it?

Hi Claudine,

Black and white is good for clear stencils as you get sharp edges without paint partially showing through.

Regarding size, these don't work like vector fonts. Stencils rely on the source image for quality, if they are scaled up a lot you will notice a loss in quality. It can help to have a source image of a reasonable size. I hope that's of some help!
