The Pen tool

I have a problem with the basic pen tool. It does not respond to my heavy/light stylus pressure. I cannot achieve thick and thin expressive lines. Pen stroke size is 20. I use a Wacom Intuos 4 with artpen. I use Painter and can achieve thick and thin stokes absolutely fine, so I don't think it's my Wacom settings. I don't know what the answer is, so suggestions welcomed. I am a new user. Other tools, oil brush etc all working well. Love the program. Thanks

May want to include which OS you're using.

This sounds like either a tablet drivers issue, or just a problem with the tool settings.

First, select the Ink Pen and open the 'Settings' tab. Check and see if 'Pressure' is at 0% or 100%. Try changing it to a different value (if pressure is at 100%, it will not vary in size, but it will vary a lot at 50%).

If that does not help, or you are on macOS, we will need more details.

Hi D Akey and HannahRage, Thank you both so much. I use Windows 7 Professional. SOLVED yes. As HannahR - I went to https://www.artrage.com/faqs/tablet-...es-on-windows/ and as suggested changed my input settings, turning Wintab on and other 2 off. That Easy.
