They look like they could be natural allies, made for each other as it were. Potential hybrids in the making. Although as you said it, I'm thinking they could also be natural opponents from a biosphere far, far away.

Really like this. To me there's something almost medieval about the look of the forager. The delicate hands and the staring eyes.

I guess the good, meek guy is the one with proboscis.
A lovely illustration reminding me, althopugh in a more modern style, of ancient, dusty bestiaries on imaginary animals we keep in monasteries' libraries.

I like your style, and your treatments of your interesting subject matter. I saw another of yours posted, I guess today. There is a lot of "communication" in these works. I love 'em.
