Artrage 5 : Glow

Really struggling to get this to work.
Can somebody provide a step-by-step guide just for a simple outer glow effect

I had seen that.
I might be about to say something stupid but...
It works fine with a coloured or transparent canvas but not with the default(?) white canvas.... it just doesn't have any glow around any paint (regardless of the colour I choose for the glow and/or radius/opacity)

Aha! That's because white 'glow' on white just doesn't show up. If you want to use it on a white background, try changing:

1. The color
2. The 'blend mode' (this is probably the best thing to experiment with - set it to 'Normal' first).
3. The opacity, if it's not strong enough.

OK thanks. It was the blend mode.
By default it was screen which didn't do anything.
Changing to normal and all was OK.
