Hey Everyone! :D
Jack was the inspiration for this theme...Riverboats and Steamboats

They opened the way for modern transportation & were the lifeline for commerce along the waterways.

Good Theme FG!

This is reworked from a transfer-as-paint photo.
There are lots of googlable pics of this ship, which I've tried for years to turn into paintings. (And failed!)

I've left the far shore of the Thames as it is in the photo, but taken the ship back a hundred years. The river is now more choppy and all the garishly clad nouveau crew have been thrown over the side. :)

My Great-Great Grandfather appears to have worked on these boats.

". . .Britania rules the waves". . .

All you Brits seem to have relations who worked on or around ships. Big industry on an island.

Great pic, m8t.

Hi d akey,

You're right, the United Kingdom, as it is temporarily known, is pretty much the same size as Oregon. But we've got 8000 miles of coast line!
The whole country is such an odd shape and position that bits of the west coast are further east than the east coast.

The only way to get out of the state was by boat!
Some of you couldn't find your way back.

Steam Tugboats can go up rivers, some are used in rivers only, so can this come in here or does it have to be an old mississippi type of steamer/paddleboat?????Jack.
