Great!

Looks like you're straddling a painting and animation style.

Which will win? Heh. Both are very good.

Hi Basset,

Welcome to the forum. :D Your drawings are very dynamic. They show you have a very solid drawing skill. I like the way you use color too. So hard to pick the one I like, they are all good. I tend to like the Hirai one, the mood in the painting with the color.

Hello Basset,
Welcome to the Forums!
I agree with pai, your art is very dynamic & skillful... I'm partial to your "In search of mushrooms - bebop" (Simply because its fun & adventurous & the Puppy is Smiling!) :D

Kind Regards,

pai: i'm afraid that the colours in Hirai owe they're tones to photoshop adjustments  but thanks :)
florida girl: hello! that one's my personal fav too, it was a lot fun to paint :D thanks for stoppin' by.
tinzo: glad you like'em, i've been gapping at your paintings for quite some time before deciding to try artrage, and boy i'm glad i did.

this was made for a contest thinger, so i took someone's rough lines and painted them in ArtRage :D

i've GOT to get the full version soon, colouring lines without layer functions just kills the fun...

oh and the bg is just a paint-over from a photo

Wow, truly spectacular work. I love them all. Great work on your other sites as well, bookmarked them.

OT: You might want to create a second blog on animationblogspot.com for your animation stuff; could generate some good traffic.

I've been on a few weeks and posting regular so I have maybe 40 posts or so. Between the new posts that show on thier "recent' index and the 'random' posts they show, plus the banner they allow which shows randomly on all the sites in thier network I have gotten up to 250-500 page views on the day I post a new item, so short posts several times per week rather than all your art at once will keep traffic flowing.

i wanted to print it out this weekend, but all the print shops around here are closed on sat-sun =_= dammit

here's a little colour-job i did, for a contest which i missed the deadline for...

but on the brighter side, i never thought artrage could handle rendering to a professional finish :o

this is my first time opening a psd file in artrage too, such a nice system :3

You can export as a PSD file with all the layers and blend modes intact.
From the ArtRage file menu, choose 'Export as Image', and choose PSD as the export type.

I like the color of your samurai. You pushed it far, so it's very colorful, but it feels right, it supports the planes, and is not in the least distracting. You made a good drawing better with your color.
