That glass vase with water is really effective, June. I mean the mechanical shape is not perfect, but the painted effect is really good! Well done you!
I'm not sure what you're aiming for, but if you're going for consistency of finish, the flowers in this one could be more like the finish in the other one. And the finish of the vase in the other one could fit more with these flowers. So it's a bit of a dutch door thing. So what I'm saying is you have 2 complete paintings, just that half of each got lost and ended up on the wrong canvas.
(I'm doing this from memory, so it may not be accurate, but I seem to recall that the other one had really nice roses and the vase was, um, more styled in a hand crafted way -- like these flowers. I think that's what I'm saying.)
Anyway, your technical skills are getting very good for a lot of different subjects. You should be quite pleased.
