Anyone have this issue? When I create a new canvas in Portrait mode . . . AR seems to ignore this and gives me a landscape canvas instead.

Not sure how to tell what version of AR I have.

Which way round are you holding the iPad when you create it?

Also, when you save it, have you rotated it round the other way?
Do you have canvas rotation on in preferences?

Edit:

just been testing, and it seems to be working, so barring a bug of some kind, the most likely cause of this is that:

1) You're setting it to portrait instead of landscape/vice versa accidentally

2) You're rotating the iPad and not realising which way up the original canvas orientation should be. When you save, is it the correct way up in the gallery?
ArtRage will try and maximise the drawing space so the canvas will always fill the screen - you can turn manual canvas rotation on in preferences and rotate saved images from the gallery to counteract this.

If you have all updates installed, then you have the latest version.

So, here is what I am experiencing. My iPad is in landscape mode. Start up AR. Create new painting via gallery. Toggle Landscape / Portrait. Choose portrait mode. Click done.

Now, should not the canvas be in portrait mode when I paint? Do I have to either rotate the canvas via gestures or rotate the iPad? To me, that seems somewhat counterintuitive. Do we need the choice of creating landscape or portrait canvas if one has to manually rotate it?
