Hello! I have been trying to find a way to eliminate all background subject matter leaving only the main focus subject on a white background. I have the latest artrage version on a new macbook pro.
Using the erase tool is extremely time consuming because I would have to erase around very detailed subjects with very few straight lines.
Any suggestions would be very helpful!
Thanks so Much! Regina

Hi regenaz!

It's just like in real life: the most textureless background is Airbrush-Karton (Canvas Settings > Art Papers > Canvas Color: White). Or do you want to erase parts of your painting? Have you tried the Magic Wand (Selection)?

No need to get Photoshop-- I have Mike and Yael's "KillWhite" filter without it. I don't remember how I installed it, but Photoshop was not involved. Some friendly Rager provided the instructions-- I wish I could remember who it is.

There are instructions on this page - just scroll down to the Filters section: https://www.artrage.com/manuals/artrage-4/image-adjustment-and-filters/

Important note: Because ArtRage is now 64-bit, a lot of older filters won't work. If you run ArtRage in 32-bit mode, they should work fine. If you need help figuring out which mode you're in, see: https://www.artrage.com/faqs/use-32-bit-photoshop-filters-artrage-4-5/
