View Full Version : Please help! Pen won't work on my tablet

I am using a intous draw tablet and my tablet lights up when my pen is near and when i draw on it, but my cursor on the screen does not move, nor do the four keys at the top do anything. I just want to draw! :confused::(

Hello autumnbrookecenkner and welcome to the ArtRage forums:) but sorry to hear of your tablet misfortunes:(
It may help pinpoint the issue if you could give some info about;
Platform; Mac or Windows
Operating System version.
ArtRage version.
Wacom driver version.

But for now if you haven’t already done so make sure you have downloaded the latest version of your copy of ArtRage as well as the latest tablet driver from Wacom.

If nothing is working, outside or inside of ArtRage, then the problem is your tablet, or the tablet drivers - try a different USB port, and check you have updated drivers (also try restarting the computer, sometimes that's all that's needed). It's also possible that there's something wrong with the tablet itself, but you'll need to contact Wacom support for help with that.

If it works outside ArtRage, but not inside, then we'll need some more details, but we should be able to get it working.

Okay so I am using windows 10 on a hp. I am using the Intous Draw wired in, not wireless, and my program is Artrage Lite, the most recent update (but it wasn't working before I updated my Artrage and has to continued to not work after the update.) Artrage will work if I use my laptops track pad, but not my tablet. I have tried switching to different USB ports with no luck. I am a new artist to this and I was really excited..my tablet doesn't respond to my pen moving inside or outside of artrage?

Okay, the problem lies with your tablet, not ArtRage. Next steps:

- does it light up at all when you plug it in? If not, then it's probably not being detected by the computer at all and may be faulty. If you contact the manufacturer, they may be able to help, or you may need to go back to the store to replace it.

- if it lights up, the table is probably working, but the software end is the problem. Go to http://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/product-support/drivers and make sure you have the latest driver for your model installed.
