Yeah, there's something about those heightened sensory visions. Darn near impossible to bring back to recount to people in literal ways. One has to sort of come at it sidelong or to see it out of the corner of their eye.

Castaneda's books were really magical for me in the late 60s -- being able to get to the desert very easily in those erstwhile days. I mean he wrote about one of the ultimate fantasies of going to the desert and finding levels upon levels of excitement and things that would get so occluded in the city or suburbs. It was a form of reductionism in a way, without it ever being called that by him. But that seemed to be the implication. It was the launch pad, the ground zero, the quiet place where you could touch real magic and those who played in that sandbox.

I think you've captured a quality here. The voice, almost the naive voice, seems to be what one might be able to use when on one of those vision questing training junkets.

Hi Gary. Having read Caesar's and Cap'n Mac all I can say. Is I like the colours. And I must B
thick as 2 planks. Or I can't visualise ok. CIAO. HASTA LA VISTA. IVAYA. CON DIOS. SLAINTE
