No Mr.Ploos - I didn't use Someonesane's sponge brushes on this, tho I do use them a lot. This painting is made with the Gloop pen. After I had my shapes down, I added a greyscale texture above the Gloop layer (Import image to layer) this one was a image of concrete - you have to set the Layer Blend Mode to Soft Light on the texture layer. That was used for the trees and bushes - I used a different texture on a different layer for the ground.

I lightly blended the Gloop areas so there were no hard edges.

Here's a short video I made which is probably easier to follow. You get to hear me speak.

Can't remember where I got that particular texture but you can find plenty here - http://www.mayang.com/textures/Architectural/html/Concrete%20and%20Cement/

Click on the one you like and save the large size to where you can find it again. :) You can Import it to Layer from there. Greyscale textures work best however, if you choose a coloured texture it's easy to change it to greyscale in AR. See screen shot.

Move the Color slider to the left.

Hi June

I do understand what you show in the video, but how do you use different blend-overlays on different parts of the drawing?

Thanks
Mic

Thank you. Marilyn Anne.

Mic Can you see from the screen shot that I used three different textures on different layers and erased where I didn't want the texture to show? I guess there's no reason why they couldn't be on the same layer - I might want to alter the opacity on different textures so this way suits me.
