This is wonderful Pat - the way you have integrated the colours makes me wish I could look over your shoulder while you are painting. :)

This is both a geographic and time travelling, dear June! What a marvellous outcome! It reminds some central-southern village of post war Italian comedies and neo-realistic movies with Vittorio De Sica, Gina Lollobrigida, Marcello Mastroianni etc. were acting. Good old times ...
Your painting is a little masterpiece where You captired perfectly the light of a bright day on this ancient looking village. Several artists here produced paintings and lythographiies with the many mountain, hill and sea village who kept their picturesque views along a couple of centuries or more and there's still a market for the disappearing best of them (especially the ones no more with us, such as Enotrio or Aldo Riso).

I been away awhile (dealing with Windows 10), and this tranquil beautiful painting is just what I needed. I love the colors! What a job you did with the light and textures.

I brought up the artist original at http://www.frankduveneck.org/Italian-Courtyard.html and viewed the two side by side. Really interesting seeing the two versions and the different techniques.

Nicely done. I like it.

Reminds me very much of a small village in France called Cordes Sur Ciel.
