I came across some watercolours suggested as useful for Australian scenes so I sampled them and used them here. I also used lots of textures, both as overlays and as canvas layers. Coincidentally, Caesar suggested I try using textures when he commented on another piece and I had just finished this one. :)

Several photo references were used for ideas.

A quite unique and intriguing style! I like it! You make seem interesting also the most arid landscapes!

From the title I actually expected to see some ol' toothless specter hollerin' after some kids stepping all over their petunias. "Yew young whippersnappers, get off'n my lawn or I'll give yew vagrants such a fright!. . . Now skeedaddle!"

Turns out this is more some of the new models of kookaburra perches.

Really nice painting. Love the way you work the pigment. There's a graphic quality to this one that I like. Feels very earthy. The colors work nicely with the shapes and subject. Really nice variety of marks and so forth as well. Good one!
