I painted this one a few months ago hope you like it. I then reused the painting and added it to another to create a new painting. but I still think this one can stand on its own.

Fantastic! How I wish I could produce something like this. The mane and tail are rendered so well, as is the lighting - it certainly could stand on it's own and is just beautiful!! Background is not bad either!!:p:p

WOW! A magnificent horse indeed and what a masterful economy of exceptional brushstrokes! I'm speechless! It may well be also a unicorn, as magnificent as it looks!
Robyn alias Copespeak, who is an expert professional and like this subject, painting many wonderful horses herein, would agree too I guess.

Fantastic work CartuneMan! I really like the diffused background that is in front of the horse (down the path). Great strokes.

I will need to stop by your house sometime and see how this painting thing is done! Since you are right down the street...

I feel pretty sure I recall the other painting this was used in. . . :) I actually think I may like it here on it's own even better. I like how you achieve these effects, been going for a bit more stroke economy lately (kind of have to, been working too hard lately and my forearms are starting to have pains again, even with me taking breaks :/). I may very well start counting my brush strokes mentally to make me more aware of how much I am using.

Per the usual, crazy awesome painting, love those strokes!

Very nice beastie! Makes you want to hop on and ride away off yonder. . . in a cloud of dust, at the speed of light, with a hearty Hi Ho Silver!!! AWAAAAAaaaaayyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

Righting wrongs, daring do. . . I guess Silver's waiting for such a one. A horse can't do it alone, ya know. . .

Noble looking beast. Very nice painting. It's like he's looking over his shoulder and saying, "Alright. That was a decent effort. Now get back on. . . Heroes are so hard to train anymore. . ."

Sometimes I go back and look at paintings I had missed and am surprised by the quality of work. This one is extraordinary.

A really Beautiful animal beautifully painted and a painting I wish I could paint
even half as good. I love birds and animals, and used to
paint them in water colour, but l cant seem to get the same effect in my digital work. You have got all the warmth that it deserves. very well done.
