I did this on a Surface Pro i5. Based on a photo I took in a rural Utah town.

Welcome..... Really nice to have been done on your phone. All I have is a stupid phone so I have to wait till I get home to my computer lol but seriously nice work.

Agreed! On a phone, but you didn't "phone it in" as they say when someone is just going through their paces with no interest. This is a really cool painting, and sort of shocking that it turned out so well. I have an older phone with a small screen and it's rather impossible to do anything that I can see without using a jeweler's loop. And I was never all that adept at illuminating manuscripts either.:p

So well done you. High marks for the scale as well.

Did threads get crossed here? I'm a little confused. I did my painting on a Surface Pro 3, that's a tablet, not a phone.

Ah, I blame Cartuneman. . .:D:o:o:o It's he who threw me, plus the 'i5' in your post which I took to mean the iPhone 5. No need to explain further though. Still a nice painting.

I think this is great.. there's a subtle simplicity to it that makes it very interesting IMO

I see now, I'm not a smart phone user so it never occurred to me saying my Surface Pro was an i5 would cause confusion. I'll remember not to indicate that little detail in the future unless asked. My eyes couldn't have handled doing this on a phone either. Thanks for the kind comments everybody.

I like the freedom of the paint strokes and it is such a lovely setting.
