Is there a tool in ArtRage 4 to subtract out a bluescreen or greenscreen background (select all of a certain range of blue)? I'd like to do that and then clean up the edges with a soft brush so I can drop in a neutral background instead.

There's not a specific 'select all this colour in the picture' tool, but there is the Magic Wand tool which will select all of a colour in an area.

You can turn on the 'Add' mode to select multiple areas at once, and toggle 'Spread' to capture various shades.

This is where layers come in handy - having the background on a separate layer makes it easy to change background.

That's a different situation, however. Here, there is a photo being imported into the ArtRage program that has a green or blue background to it (like you may have seen being used in movies). So it's not a matter of having chosen to combine the foreground with the background, but one where there's no way to have avoided them being combined. It's the reason they shot the scene with a pure blue or green colored background, in fact. With most photo editing programs (ArtRage is geared more for pure image creation), there are special options set up to specifically filter out certain color channels, which allows for easy removal of such solid color fields.
