Oddly, these colors and the overall look puts me in mind of old fashioned needle point I would see all over my grandmothers house. I think the palette has a lot to do with what neutral sorts of dyes they used to use for the yarn or whatever it's called from around perhaps the teens or 20s of last century which is from whence my grandmother's furniture came. Very cool and a little nostalgic for me.

Well done Pat!

A really wonderful view indeed, in this lovely and powerful painting. I would be staring at it for hours ... but I wouldn't be able to stay that long in front of such a thunderous show of falling water before I'll have to look for a toilet .... LOL;):o

Very good artwork and painting with a peaceful feeling.

I have one question, what was the purpose for the black area strip underneath the painting?

Scenic and classical Pat. Yes, the colours are unusual and maybe old-fashioned as Mr Akey says ... maybe just a little desaturated? Quite nice! :)

Thank you so much for your kind comments, always appreciate every time you peek in
As to the black strip at the bottom, for some reason I had trouble cropping this one and it kept leaving the black on it
