hi,

this drawing is done with markers on a rubber mat to get thickness variation. Is there anyone here that could replicate this in a custom brush, pen or marker.
have tried the various cartoon sets on this site.

thanx :)

first, if you don't have a pressure sensitive stylus or tablet, you'll have trouble recreating this look in software. additionally, that alone may not be enough, as you would also need a pen sensitive to barrel rotation in order to change the edge orientation. Not all pens support this, and not all tools within AR support it either - you would have to use ink pen with the chisel tip setting. Also a medium to high smooth setting would help with the clean lines

One thing you can try but it may take some time to master and that is to use the taper function with the ink pen brush.

Try the settings in the attached pic. What the taper setting does is vary the end or ends of each stroke. Bias adjusts which end get the most tapering.

Taper length is important too. Vary the speed of your stylus or mouse. Smoothing is an automatic curve smoothing setting.
