I can't really help, since I know nothing about oil painting, but this looks lovely! I love the way you painted the hair!

Really interesting watching all the different skill levels you're showing, in light of some of your work that you post is very blended. How did you do it in those cases? I'm sure somebody will have technical suggestions to get where you want to get to. Not my area of expertise. But go man go!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see what comes of this direction you're taking. I personally like the voice you bring to your work whether the pics are crude or polished, etc.

i usually use blend mode layer (overplay, glow, softlight...) in order to make the light more attractive, its very useful tool ^^ i think. but i just only use it for normal digital painting. In oil painting, i want to create the effect with no support tool, just brush + paint + 1 layer, difficult ha ha
i saw many oil painting pro in this forum, hope can learn more from them :D
cảm ơn bạn D Akey :D

Wow its a really good to know that its your first painting. It is looking very pretty. I am also learning oil painting and after having good hands on this I would learn Aboriginal Art paintings. I just love the way of representing feelings and emotions through symbols and dots.

This is beautiful! I like it without the blending you're looking for. Really natural way of painting.

You might want to experiment with the knife tool set on instant blur. Experiment with the pressure and the size of the knife. It may help with your blending.
