I revisited and old painting loosely based on a photo taken when I lived in Herefordshire near the river Wye. Mostly oil and knife.

oh, ayuuh. . . Most fertile colors, master Farmer-Paice. Can easily see this acreage yielding a lavish bumper crop of paintings, good Lord willin' and the sheep don't rise. . .

Go man go!:):):):):)

The flower at the front really balances out the drawing.
It's all just so beautiful that I had to give a second look-over and edit my comment to add more about how brilliant it is!
I wish I could jump inside of it and stand there myself!

Nicely done. I like the sky in particular.

Wow. This is beautiful. Such colours. They are so vibrant. I opened the thread and literally said the "wow" out loud. Great work!

Thank all. I think I've realised why a lot of my paintings are so saturated, I sit facing a window with my laptop on a portable table, so the light is behind the screen, I'm looking at the picture now, at night, and I'm thinking wow! that's strong.

I like this one. Great color and depth in this. Like also that little purple/pink touch on the sky. Beautiful :)

Then I would suggest you continue so oriented because this is really flavorful! A happy accident as it were.

An outstanding painting Fraser. The colours are so vibrant and the painting is characteristically detailed. You have captured the beauty of the area.

I know the Wye Valley fairly well and often visit Tintern Abby stopping for a drink in the Moon and Sixpence. Afon Gŵy (River Wye) is the 5th longest river in the UK....didn't know that until recently.
