I've been getting in to black and white line drawings recently, because of the etching, and was interested to see this chap in my home town doing some interesting work.

I wonder how much he makes on these. There's so much labour involved, I just have to wondour. Still they're nice because they don't feel overdone.

I have worked with guys who loved doing detailed drawings like this and with even more stuff. I thought they were nuts. But without a doubt they were impressive. And on occasion having to work with these guys I would dip into the detailed styles as well because the clients loved it because it made them feel like they were getting their money's worth.

The guys who impressed me most were the ones who could make the most full feeling paintings in the simplest way using the paint in interesting ways.

But I do look at this guy you linked to and his ilk as a type of artist. And you have to admire their diligence.

So you're from Bristol, eh? Bet your accent it fun to listen to. (I know I know. . . What accent?):D:):):):):)

Mr D Akey, people from my city sound like pirates, it's Robert newton's fault. http://dialectblog.com/2011/05/24/pirate-accent/
