The reference photo I used was taken from a car. This is the reason the sky tends to be the main feature. I cropped the road out :-). I'm just a hobby painter and learning.

The dark clouds are very well done. It is nice that you are so inspired.

Your painting brings back sweet memories for me Vandra,
as my father used to take me to the cane fields in the Philippines when
I was a child and cut sugar cane for me. A very bright and cheerful
painting in my view. Welcome to AR!

Love that open view feel in this painting. Great works on that blue sky and the cloud. :)

I like this painting.... stirs memories for me as a child, wasn't cane though...was corn!
Nicely done Vandra....
Take care,

What a sweet painting! I mean beyond the sugar. Looks like a great drive. Love the sky especially. Don't be shy about changing the pic from the photo if it serves your painting. A burst of light hitting the ground somewhere could be nice too. But this is super and I really get the feeling of being on a journey. Very nice. And welcome!

Thank you everyone for your great comments comments.

I think a burst of light would have been good too. I might go back to this painting.
