I posted a drawing of Eneke my Amazon earlier so this is Beth, one of my doves. White ain't easy to draw.

You posted it on Facebook George, maybe that where you're thinking you had.

Excellent! You're really in the zone now! And yes, white can be challenging to keep it alive feeling. You did a pretty good job of it too.

If you go toward becoming a colorist, you will find white can have tons of color in it. You could even say it's open season on the palette and carte blanche.

But that's only one way. I think you'll find that in general many of the artists out there (and photographers too) will push the color toward blues as if it were snow reflecting the sky. The mind is comfortable with saturating the cools to some extent.

And then the lights can be pushed toward the peach and yellow whites. Grays are good certainly in BW, but one runs the risk of making the white thing look like it's actually gray as the real color. So you're right. It can get dodgy and you have to tiptoe.

But real white as a color is beautiful and can serve you in lots of ways especially as an overall design element when composing.

Anyway, this is very nice. You should feel proud of this success. It has wings you might say.

Very good. There's more color than we think in white subjects ... Bravo!
