As Steve asked to see more of my work and I have only just begun using Art Rage, I have posted few paintings I did the old fashioned way and a life time ago. Hope it's all right they are acrylic on canvas and not ones and zeros. Thanks for

Hello Jmac,
Thank you for reading my reply, and posting these beautifully done paintings!
And, I'm quite sure everyone viewing them will agree, they are exceptionally
well concieved and exucuted!
You mentioned they were painted a "life time ago", and you are trying to get back into your painting.
These positive replies to your past, and current work should give you alittle more incentive to stay the course!
Again, all these paintings are exceptionally well done!
And, don't worry about being slow with your new
ArtRage painting!
'It's done when its done,'
we can wait!
Take Care Friend,

P.S. 'Butterfly and it's shadow', great touch!

Thanks to all for the kind comments...

Steve, thanks for the encouraging words. Painting is done with the eye, the hand, and the heart. You need all three I believe. For a long time I have been unable to find much of the latter. Art Rage is helping. This forum is helping. For the first time in a long time I'm beginning to feel the hint of a beat where I thought there might not be again.

Thanks again,

dear jim,

congratulations to your paintings, and i would love to see some of nowadays when you want to show them - or also some more from "a lifetime ago".
do you sometimes sell your paintings - and what size are the shown ones?

i want to encourage you, go on and restart showing the world your great skills and talent!

best regards from austria ...

I think your feeling a 'hint of a beat' of your passion returning, I sense you already have a caring heart, it's evident by reading your replies.
And for me, it's sometimes envisioned in the heart, composed by the eye and accomplished by the hand.
Take Care,

Also, replied elsewhere.

Thank you coops, Steve, Copespeak, damasoci, Fashmir, maniac, and D Akey...Daniel thanks for the encouragement as well. I used to sell my work. All of those shown here are gone with the exception of Once Upon a Time-Grey Wolves and Bread and Roses, which I kept. The canvas sizes range from a small of about 9 x 12 inches for A Touch of Gold to around 30 x 40 inches for Little River Mallards and Once Upon a Time.

They're all excellent. Precision and patience must be Your "motto" and I like very much the professional look some illustrations show. Welcome!

Thank you Weeks and Caesar. Yes I enjoy detail and realism. But I keep dreaming of painting like John Singer-Sargent. Just don't think I'm built that way.
