So! Hey.

Long time lurker (mostly around the art supplies forum), not much for posting though - but why not give it a go, right?

Just a regular ol' hobby artist here. I've used ArtRage almost exclusively for the last year or so, first on an iPad (1!) and more recently on a Surface Pro. I'm debating whether or not to load up the whole back catalogue to this thread, or just start with whatever comes next.

Anyway, I ain't no expert, no sir - but if anyone has questions about how I did what, or what tools I used, I'm more than happy to talk about it. Also more than happy to receive constructive criticism - so have at!

Without further ado, here are highlights from the last few months:

Great to see you come out of the shadows!

I really love your faces, and your style is strong and painterly. Also love the solitary man on the cliff!

Well thanks guys.

A lot of other Australians here I see!

And yeah, I definitely go in for the somewhat "painted" look most of the time - it's what drew me to ArtRage over Photoshop, MyPaint, MangaStudio and the like.

like that painterly, liquid smooth brushes strokes as well as the movements in your paintings. I like all the faces :)

Cheers pai, I attribute all smoothness to ArtRage ;) - I've pretty much just been using the default brushes.

nice cache of artwork. really gaga over the first one with the paint splatters, but all of them are interesting art pieces. seems like you have a very artistic touch with whatever you attempt. great stuff.

Thanks :) I completely attribute this to having a short attention span. I've never been able to stick to a particular style, or even to one piece for a long time. I've sort of had to get better with composition and hope that technical skill will gradually follow (or that I'll settle.)

And thank you too! I've been made to feel very welcome indeed!

Juicy stuff. I really like your delight in color. Makes everything very lively, and in some cases quite dramatic.
