I had absolutely no idea what your coppelia was. . . and it didn't seem to have much to do with the French Foreign Legion. So I turned to YouTube -- the most amazing resource ever known to mankind. . .

Naturally they had the toymaker ballet there. I had never heard of it. It looked like a children's ballet like the Nutcracker. But it also looked sort of adult at the same time -- as if the Red Shoes and the Nutcracker got combined into one. <excuse me for a moment. . . BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! . . er thank you>

Cool painting. That guy behind the screen sort of reminds me of one of Lautrec's figures at the Moulin Rouge. . . someone come to watch the dancer. . . perhaps a special gentleman admirer. . . a stage door Johnny. . . a Bluebeard. . . a phantom of the opera. . . a lonely upstairs bred bloke what's come slummin'?

Fun stories you tell, Ms Coops.

You always capture the mood of the ballet. I loved going to the ballet as a child.
