View Full Version : Flying Saucers Attack Teenage Hot Rodders

03-22-2013, 12:17 PM
Combines my love of vintage American hot rods, the mystery of flying saucers/UFOs (are they real?) and 1950's & 60's science fiction....

I created this for tomorrow's art show at the Jalopy Journal's "The H.A.M.B." weekly Friday art show....

All was sketched and painted with my Wacom tablet and ArtRage 4.02 except for the Flying Saucer which is a 3D model I created in Groboto...
I used a photo I took at a local car show as 74362reference for the hot rod...

I'm afraid the front wheels axys is tearing apart and they'll soon be abducted! I hope they've got Bobby Ray's Hyperphone number to ask for an Earth Consulate or Embassy address abroad (the Solar Syetem).:D Funny vignette and effective dramatic expressions of the two earthlings.

I once had a similar experience at a drive-in movie, I wasn't sure what she was screaming at, now I know :) ... the steam rising from the radiator is a nice touch ...
