Fairly abstract painting done just to get my feet wet in AR4.
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I been doing Gouache watercolor (and music) and got caught up in that mostly. If I haven't been commenting on your paintings I have at least been peeking in now and then to see all the paintings posted here.
Anyway, when I saw a new version of AR I had to get it and try it out and I must say I like it!!!
So here is one of many new paintings.

Nice texture and palette

Neal. I like the subtle transitions of hues, and the angularity . This is easily something I would put on a wall. My wall, even.

Fantastic artpiece looking like a style transition from CÚzanne to Cubism! You have an impressive natural talent!

Jibes, I really love those brush strokes, so free and full of energy and "fast" , seem like it. Love the brown color palette a lot on it. Can you paint more and let me see, please :)

Very good palette. It's as if you're playing the strokes off the idea of the growing energy for the trees. Has a forceful feel like a Spring Willpower come back from the browns and grays of Winter warmed by the life force coursing into the forest, soon to be green.

Neal, every time I drive into town, there is a street off to the left, it is so like your neighborhoods you've painted in the past. This one also seems to remind me so of my area. So rich in color, history, and so artfully done. I always enjoy your work.

Hey Neal, having fun with AR4? Looks good, bold, forceful and the palette used works very well.
