Nice stuff, Limey-G. Never a doubt what your models look like. Would imagine this to be a good likeness though I am not familiar with this lady.

When doing a head, I personally err on the side of making the pupils of the eye as dark as the darkest black in the pic. I may not be judging that color well, but it looks like they're a shade light to me. The placement of the shapes is perfect tho.

Love your detail as ever. Elegant pose. I'm quite sure she would be flattered with this pic. Love it. That earring rocks!

Thanks D Akey, I think I agree with you on the eyes being a little too light, when I did them I kind of did them a little too dark and this morning I decided to lighten them just a little, unfortunately I work by a window and there was quite a bit of sunshine coming into the room which seems to have clouded my judgment hence they are now just a little too light.
Oh well, these things happen.
Thanks Geoff

A really terrific painting Geoff. You are so good at doing people, and such a recognisable one is even harder. The eyes don't trouble me too much at all, and only a minor adjustment maybe.

She's lovely. :cool;

Thanks Jean appreciate your thoughts, I think it maybe needs a little more colour on her right cheek, It is always so difficult to work on a face that you know and it is surprising how just the slight lack of colour can affect the likeness. You would not believe how many times a layer has been cleared and started over because I did not like the direction it was going.

Geoff, just select the area you want to adjust the colour on, (either with minor feathering, or none and blend afterwards), and lighten, darken, or paint over with ink pen set at 'colour' with the shade you want.

I'm not sure if you get all that, but have a play. :D

P.S. The pup is great, growing like Topsy. Very clever and responsive, and so, so beautiful! Best thing we ever did to patch our hemorrhaging hearts.... :D :D :D

Thanks Robyn, I have not had time to work on it anymore as yet, changing things should not be a problem as I have extensive experience in image retouching in photoshop.
Glad to hear the pup is doing well

Thanks Caesar, I find her very photogenic and I enjoyed doing this of her. I think she will bring a new outlook to the monarchy in future years.

Well eighty I am also old and grey and I certainly do not have your imagination and technique you show in your many works.
So I think your statement is the wrong way around, as I just love your work.

Thanks Katie, I rather like your namesake I think she will do royalty much good in the future away from the unapproachable
ways of the past.

Someone who follows more of international gossip briefed me and I had too the impression she would give an updated image to the Royal family. So, knowing also of Your passion for feminine beauty, I guess You also painted a topless version of her to possibly enter the After 9 section ... :o:DLOL

Well Caesar I think if I did that I would surely end up in the Tower of London for the rest of my days although I do have an imagination of what she would look like.:):):)
