hey all, first time posting.. first time painting, first time using artrage! i figured for a first try i should try to channel some bob ross, though he didn't do many ocean paintings, i wanted to keep it simple and not overshoot. what an awesome program though, finally something i can learn on! also, is it just me or would it be totally awesome if they put in actual sound effects for the brush strokes (bob ross anyone?).. could be difficult to emulate but damn, that is the only thing missing! crits welcome!

Welcome to Artrage :) Indeed, your painting and the color palette you used fill with golden sunshine and joys in there :D Your first painting? Then, more please :P

I don't have much to say about the sound effects. Um. . . could make sounds vocally like a kid with a toy car. . . a sort of Bob Ross-ian onomatopoeia.
SCOOTSCH dapp patt. . .Flirp!

Oh wait. . . you probably meant about the painting itself. . . I see. Well, it's fantastic! Color moves really well. Great brush strokes. Love the wet and dry marks. Details that you do include give a sort of broad orchestral sweep to the rest.

Great job!

Wonderful first painting. You got da touch.
Sound effects of real tools on canvas, or the compressor for an airbrush, or maybe dropping a ruler on the floor, or the exploding house from a spark igniting the paint-thinner fumes. Could be lots of fun. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

The water is so well done and the sky is so joyously colorful.

You could do so much worse than to start off by emulating Bob Ross. Well done and many "happy mistakes" to you.
